Variegated Geranium Madame Salleron flower on balcony 12th September 2023 Macro

She's very bright!

Thanks Shirley. It's a lovely variegated Geranium I bought back in May this year. It's a strong grower & has flowered nicely all summer. I took a couple of cutting last week as I would like to keep it for future years & keeping things over the winter on the balcony is a bit hit & miss.

At the same time I bought another variegated Geranium called 'Chocolate'. This has red triangular flowers & the foliage is a sort of chocolatey brown. Though it has spent the summer on the balcony railings it hasn't impressed me much, nevertheless I took a couple of cuttings as well. These cuttings can spend the winter in the kitchen window & I can grow them on next year - they are also an insurance against losing the mother plants over the winter.
