I’ve not grown this particular pine before. Now, it’s not a dwarf and grows into quite a big tree (ish). But my thinking is, I won’t have to wait the rest of my life for it to grow, and I will prune and train it into the ‘Japanese-style’ that I so love. So this is going to stay in a pot and be my project plant!

Be good to see your project later on, Karen..I find ‘cloud pruning’ very therapeutic.

I’m not planning to cloud prune it as much …more train the branches horizontally.

Well I wasn’t clear Sheila, and either would be Japanese. :) Or I could have meant Bonsai!

Ooh, it would make a beautiful bonsai! I’d be very interested to know where you bought it, but I’m probably too far away 🙁.

Not at all Sheila. It was part of an online order from www.letsgoplanting.co.uk which is a southern company, but mail order. I was very happy with all of the plants they sent me.
