That’s a beautiful white Hippeastrum! I have an orange one that’s been in the ground for decades. Crinum ‘Queen Emma’ lilies are very popular here in the landscape, they grow very large. I have one that’s 6 ft tall.

There is a house on the other side of Terceira that planted red Hippeastrums on both sides of the entrance walk, about 20 feet. I can't imagine the cost of that! They seem to do better with a dry rest, so I keep them in pots and bring them inside for 1-2 months.
If you are interested in the earthquake situation here, we just had a 3.6 that was felt!

Yes, they should be kept cold (frost free) for at least 2 months as well as dry.

Beautiful white Amaryllis, Wylie! 👍🏻 I've also had some that have been that big across, in fact I'm fairly certain I posted a picture of one with my outstretched hand covering the flower to give a sense of scale. I think I included it in one of my blogs years ago.
