Viburnum 'Onondaga'

Viburnum 'Onondaga'

Seen in a Cornwall NGS garden many years ago - our local GC chap had never heard of it.

Is it a new purchase, Sheila?

That's a very pretty variety, Sheila. The leaves are attractive too.

A lovely looking plant, Sheila! I'd never heard of it before but the the way the flowers open put me in mind of Verbenas!

Thank you all for your comments.
No Ange, I had this in our previous garden but one day OH was trying to help with weeding, and somehow cut the shrub in two! I was alarmed, but he asked if I couldn’t take cuttings from the “spare” bit! So I did, and luckily one took, so I was able to bring it with me, and as you can see it is perfectly happy six years later!

I had a V. Sargent I in my first garden and it was very similar to this one. After that I got quite into. Viburnums. Lovely shrubs and very diverse. They do suffer with aphids though, I find.
