Thank you, Meadowland! I bought the original plant many years ago but have managed to keep its descendants growing by taking cuttings every year!

How have you grown Cosmos before - from plug plants? I've only ever grown them from seed both on the balcony & when I had an allotment.

Just from seed this year...they have developed 3 sets of leaves so I've pinched the tops.Look a little leggy.

Thank you, Janey. I've had this Pelargonium for many years now. This is a descendant of descendants, etc. I take a few cutting every year to keep overwinter in case the mother plants in the mini-greenhouse on the balcony don't make it! Glad I did so last autumn as most of the mother plants died! 🙁

You've done very well Balc to keep it going through cuttings, you certainly wouldn't want to lose it!

You are quite right, Janey! 👍🏻
Meadowland, I found an open packet of Cosmos seeds today! I also found some Calendulas the same! I'm thinking of sowing some to see if they will germinate still.
I now remember I sowed them to plant in the church gardens. They flowered nicely&in fact the Calendulas have been flowering for a couple of months now as I left the church before the frosts came along to kill the plants. I don't know if there are any seedling Cosmos as I haven't looked closely. But the Calendulas are a real picture! 👍🏻
