I'm searching for the bees this summer - and the martins, swifts and swallows, and the butterflies. Too cold for the insects I suppose.
Extremely concerning.

Kate, it is one of my favourite Geraniums.
Thanks Sheila ... it was gifted to me by GoY member Motinot many moons ago!
Ange, hardly any Butterflies seen this Spring, lots of Sparrows around which is unusual for our garden and far too many Ants!

Ants are a real problem here, too. Into most of the pots and all over the lawn, both black and red ones.

There's always something to annoy us gardeners!

Ange, this afternoon there were four Pigeons on the lawn eating Ants ... at last I can say a good word about those pesky birds!

What we need is green woodpeckers, Shirley!

I don't think I have ever seen one around here.

I have a blue geranium in the front garden and it seems to like being in the sun and the bed is on the dry side too. Yes the ants are around and the sparrows go over our lawn. When the ants start flying we get the swallows flying low after them.

When the ants start flying I shall be indoors!
