Slugs are demolishing the leaves so let's hope the flowers survive.

Rose, it is like this:
A large, bushy, herbaceous perennial to 2.5m with hairy stems and large, sycamore-like leaves. The saucer-shaped flowers are white or pale pink, 5cm across, and appear from mid-summer to early autumn.
I bought mine from Denmans Gardens, the place where John Brookes, the garden landscape and designer used to live and work.

Blinking slugs!!!! They are decimating everything aren't they!
These flowers are sweet, I do hope they continue to bloom for you.

Oh Kate, most mornings, early, there is a slug slithering across the garden path to the border. I have been known to go out with a glove on, kitchen towel in hand, to grab it and put it in the brown bin.
