A few pics from Amsterdam

Popped a collage on as unable to do a blog. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, only a few days way, but well worth it.
Apologies collage isn’t crisp clear.

Rick and I always wanted to go to Amsterdam, but unfortunately with his wheel chair and motor it was too heavy.
I am pleased you enjoyed it.

Thank you, Rose! It was lovely, especially after work stresses previously.
Dad struggled a bit in the heat, but they both enjoyed our few days away.
I'm sorry you and Rick didn't get the chance to go, but, you're right, navigating with his wheelchair would have been difficult x

Kate, we have recently been watching some old TV programs where Michael Portillo goes across Europe by train. We have learned so much about Holland so it is lovely to see your photo collage. Thanks for sharing.

I loved Amsterdam when I went there, and I'm glad you had a relaxing time, Kate. Citybreaks are my favourites!

Shirley, I’m pleased you enjoyed the pics! It’s well worth a visit, the old town is lovely. Interesting history.
OH watches Michael Portillo’s train journeys, too. I do dip in and out, often.
I went to The Hague about 20 years ago with work, it was a 5 day world seminar - fantastic! As a child of 12, I went on a school trip to Germany, crossing from Hull to Rotterdam and then onwards. So, it was nice to visit Amsterdam, and have a break with my parents.

Thanks so much, Ange! Good to hear you had a great time too - such lovely architecture isn’t there! We have enjoyed city breaks in the past too.

Glad you had such a good break, Kate. My brother used to live in Amsterdam (he was a Mime Artist and the Dutch love them!). We were lucky to visit a few times, and I loved the relaxed atmosphere. I have good memories of the flower market on a canal and the Kirkenhof Gardens 🙂.

Thank you, Sheila! Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Gosh, that’s so interesting hearing about your brother! Some people do live such fascinating lives! I’m well impressed.
I’ll bet you enjoyed every visit too! My neighbours went to Keukonhof last year and both loved it. Next on the the list perhaps! Thank you for sharing, Sheila x
