Yellow Petunia on balcony railings 13th September 2022

I added this picture for Feverfew who said she had never seen a yellow Petunia.

Is this 'Prism Sunshine'? That is the best yellow petunia that I have grown - years ago.

No idea, Wylie! It was one of a mixed batch of Petunias which should have been white & not mixed! As the boxes of Petunias weren't in flower when I potted them up & in the place of 1 plant in a couple of pots I got up to 3 different colours besides white!

I had the same problem with my carnations. They were supposed to be all yellow, but came out red & white.

That "mix up" (sorry!) with mixed petunias instead of all white spoilt my plan for the balcony a bit! As the plants had been growing all together in the pots for several weeks before they began flowering it wasn't a case of emptying the offending pots & replanting them with the whites as that would have killed all the plants in the pots. There were up to 4 plants, each a different colour in at least 3 pots! I only put what I thought was one plant in each pot! As they were only small plug plants without any flowers I had no idea I was planting some plugs with 4 different plants in them! All the white ones were individual plants. I bought them on 2 Saturdays, as I didn't have enough plants with the first 2 boxes of them that I bought.
