Wine for 1st place in sunflower competition 17th August 2010

This was the bottle of wine I was given for having won the sunflower competition! The photo should have 18th on it - not the 8th!

I suppose I did enjoy it back then, Sheila, but as we are talking about a bottle of wine I drank 14 (!) 🤣 years ago I don't have any memory of it! I've drank a lot more since that day, even though I don' habitually drink wine.

Just wondering whether there was a special reason for posting it now?! Just a happy memory perhaps ...

The reason - which has coincided with the time this took place - was a photo of a multiheaded Sunflower someone posted on GoY during the last few weeks. I can't remember who it was but it triggered memories of this event, (the Sunflower competition on the allotments field), so I searched among my photos of the day I was told I had won the competition.

I also have a photo of me under the winning sunflower taken by Gerry who later put it in a frame & gave it to me. The photo in on the shelves above my head as I sit here at the computer!
