I love Calibrachoas and they do well here. This is a new variety found at a local nursery and so far it's been flowering for a couple of months. It's a winner!

Over here it's time to think about moving some of the potted plants into the more shaded spaces in preparation for the arrival of our hot summer. Direct sunlight in the summertime here can be quite harsh for a number of the plants.

This is a real gem, lovely colouring too. We're into early Autumn now, I do love this time of year with the gorgeous leaf colour changes. Summer and Autumn are my favourite seasons here.

For me the favourite times of the year are definitely our tropical end-of-Autumn, Winter and early Spring. Summertime is harsh here and it's not great for my garden. The heat and humidity are not great for me either!!

This is a pretty one, I've not seen it here. I've not had any hanging baskets this year and with our weather, I've saved some money!

I'm a big hanging basket gardener because our property has very very poor soil and building up garden beds by bringing in fertile soil is so expensive. Hanging baskets and potted plants are my go-to.

I love Calibrachoas too … put two blue ones in a raised bed in May and one is still flowering (just!).

They last quite a while here too Sheilabub.

That’s good Bernie. I’m hoping my family will get into gardening in Melbourne, but with young children they don’t seem to have time …

I love a "million bells" myself and that's a lovely colour. Not seen any doubles here. Here the cold nights are on us so close to time for getting mine into the greenhouse for a rest.
