Old Sweet Chestnut at Stourhead

This tree is 600 years old! It still bears a little fruit, but what amazes me most is the age. Standing near to a living organism that was alive in medieval times is quite something! Like time travel. I love Chestnuts! One of the best things about autumn is roast chestnuts.
