Munching on the firethorn berries right along the side of our window. Picture was taken from my computer chair about 6 feet away.
I am surprised to see this one around as they usually migrate.
Lots of them come back in the spring. I love them even if they consume most of our berries and grapes....and make a mess in our lawn digging out the worms and grubs.
They are quite friendly.

Bushbernie,
We have not got a cold weather this year, yet. I suspect that it could be a reason why it is prolonging its stay, especially if he/she is a young one and finds enough food.
So far our temperatures are decent for this time of year in comparison to rest of Canada.

Ah, that would explain it. If there's enough food around that's easily found, then there would be no need to head off to other places.

Thank you Janey, it was quite nice here until now but I am sure that a cold snap is coming. I read that "La Niña" arrived, which means coldness.

Very pretty robin! I used to see many robins when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not many in San Diego.

I wonder why it didn't migrate as usual? It's such a lovely thing with that orange chest!
