These White Iholena and Gold Finger bananas were freshly pruned, they are still looking pretty ratty. The Santa Ana Winds tear the leaves up pretty badly and we’re had a lot this very dry, warm winter. Photo taken January 24, 2025.

The leaves look pretty good so far, considering all the Santa Ana Winds we’ve had this winter. They still are putting out leaves, but very slowly this time of year.
I’ve seen there’s a major atmospheric river heading to the SF Bay Area and north. I wish we would get a good atmospheric river, as it’s still extremely dry here.

Banana plant leaves are also still green in the bay area. That is not as rare as it used to be. At least in my neighborhood. San Francisco has always been much less frosty. So catching up-lol.
