Looks like it will have about 8 blooms this year.

Yes, this is from seed I germinated in early March in my parents greenhouse. They will bloom the first year if they are happy where they are planted. I plant mine out in May . I give the vines a 2 gallon bucket of water with Miracle Grow 15-30-15 plant food mixed in, once a month. They can be finicky about blooming, I've read, so your best bet is to plant one in several different places in your garden and see where it preforms best. The only problem I might see you having is your lack of sunshine, these vines love it hot and humid, so I would plant them all in places where they will receive full day sun.

Thanks for the great advice, F1. We've had two really wet summers with little sunshine - we can't possibly get a third one in a row!!!!! (oh, dear, I hope I havent spoken too soon.....)
