Terratoonie ~ What is a budgie?

A budgie is usually called a parakeet in the USA.
Small pet bird with a 'necklace' of black spots under the chin.
The males are often the best talkers.
I'll try to post a picture of my budgie some time this week, Harli.
But take a look at my photos (a whole TWO so far) and my blogs (TWO) and you'll see that uploading pictures is quite a challenge for me. LOL.
But for you, I'll do it.....

Great pic Harli, I have not lived out west since the 60's but always loved these birds. Each area has some unique bird life, all of it beautiful. What other birds visit your garden?

I can relate to the budgie comments. I phoned the vet to make an appointment to get her nails clipped (I won't do it, she gets pretty nasty!) and they said "What's a budgie?"

Bambi the budgie getting nasty ? - surely not. :o)

You could have caused confusion by saying you were bringing in Bambi. Those would have been big nails to clip.

Bambi has a note on her file at the vets that she can be vicious!

I have the same note in my file with my doctor!!lol.

Wow....what an amazing photo ! He hasto be the most beautiful blue bird I've ever seen !

Wish I had taken a pic of the flock of Mountain Bluebirds, my mother had at her house in Oklahoma one year. I think those were an almost unbelievable turquoise color. Gorgeous!

Thank you all. I truly enjoy them even though they can make quite a racket. We have some that come all the time.
