Morning glory on pine tree

The photo does not do justice to the show these morning glories are making. They are climbing up a large pine tree next to the house and making a huge statement. I did not expect them to survive there. They were the last and smallest of my seedlings when I put them there.

I had quite a few in other spots that didn't make it. Some suffered in the dry hot spells if we didn't get enough water to them.
