I love gentian....its a beauty...

When my babies were first born if they developed thrush in their mouths..we were given a bottle of Gentian Blue to swab their mouth with..I wonder if this the same plant. It is certainly beautiful.

Gentian Violet was used as a mouth wash many years ago, Not sure which one of the Gentian family it was obtained from, but certainly not this one.

Thats right Gentian Violet..turned their little mouths so purple..I just did not like it at all. Beautiful little newborn mouth ...all purple :(
