A favorite coleus

nice looking plant, cracking colour

my dad used to grow these when I was a child.. over 30 years ago. I always remember them being really vivid.. must have a go next summer

I love the colours...coleus is the most wonderful plant... I've always kept one as a house plant... a friend had one that grew in a gallon crock...beside her balcony door...southern exposure and the thing was up to the ceiling!!

My Big Dave loved coleous...we had a huge plant at one time...my last birthday my 8 year grandson came to my door with a tiny pot with tiny coleous growing in it...he said" I grew these for you from seed myself because i know that you and Grandpa liked them so much." I have it sitting by some little wooden kittens he and his little brother & sister gave me in my living room window....so precious.

Thanks ladies, I know it's a plant my garden will never be without. Catfinch, your grandchildren sound sooo precious, make sure and give them a kiss on the cheek for me ! Sounds like you're blessed with a very thoughtful, caring family.That's more precious than gold !

I am taking my daughter Heather, her two daughters and two more of my grand daughters over to the mainland this Sunday to my Sons' home where the three grandchildren that gave me the kitties and the coleous live. It is my youngest grand daughter Lettie's 2nd birthday...so we are all going to her birthday party. I am looking very forward to kissing many sweet little cheeks this Sunday, I will include some for you too.... :)
