Sorry - another question.
Does the bush lose its leaves after they go red?

no it just gets redder and redder. i like it best in autumn and spring when its changin colour. but in time it will grow into a big tree. i hope...

I'm also intrigued by that tree, Sandra. I'm also on the lookout for some dark purple/brown aeoniums.

I looked up Cunninghamia lanceolata.
Timber tree of China.
Named after James Cunningham. (doctor) 1701.
Likes moist clay. aka China fir, but not a true fir.
It's an attractive tree!

Would be interesting to see a photo of your tree closer up some time if possible, please.
Thanks. :o)
