My friend wanted me to have a shrub as a small memorial for my Mum - it's a Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' which apparently grows eventually to about 3'. I am waiting to see where to put it, so it's safely potted up with some friends.

Yes - she stayed in our house and looked after Henry while we were away in London for the funeral. How kind was that???

It's deciduous but should come back to life next spring and then have white flower clusters.
She is great! We went to the Gardening Show together and had a wonderful day. We swap seedlings and seeds, too. She has green fingers!Henry loves her - don't you think that is a sign when a dog takes to someone at once?

Dogs always seem to be good judges of character. What a kind friend.

She is. I pass magazines on to her and she passes them on again - they end up being read by half the village, I think!
