Had to dig the tubers up last week. Temperatures in the high 40 degrees F. range turned them to mush. This is only the beginning of the end and it's breaking my heart !

Love leaf colour as much as flowers. Are the flowers attractive too? "Beginning of the end" of the plant or just the Season? Hope it's only the Season!

These are beautiful. I like to think of things like this just getting a good season of rest before getting up again for me. :-)

Hopefully just the season Magnoliatree, It's a tropical plant and I have to dig up the tubers each fall and let them dry out before storing them for winter. But you don't get 100 percent return on these . I always have a few that rot during the winter, fingers crossed these make it. The blooms on these look similar to the bloom of an calocasia or an arum plant, not ugly but not that great either...lol, so these are grown mostly for the colorful foliage.
Great way to look at it Greenthumb ! Now, if I could just sleep through the winter season too I'd be in a happy woman !

Interesting colour patterns on these leaves.
