Thanks for visiting my page and your comments Marguerite. I think that your climate is probably similar as you have some of the same type of plants. FL is a long state, so we have a couple different zones here. In the south, they never get freezes, in the north it freezes every so often. I'm kind of in between, so we get freezes once or twice a year. We don't ever see snow, which is fine with me! :)

I'm planning to start growing mostly tropical/sub-tropical plants that don't spread fast. Eventually, I would like to also have a veggie and fruit garden. Right now I have a very weedy lawn, but hopefully not for long. I guess it just takes a lot of time and patience when getting things going. :).

Thanks Gillian! I don't like the heat here so much, but I do like that we have a lot of neat plants that grow here. I like that even in the cities, there usually are a lot of trees and flowers, and most people plant flowers in their yards.
