Xaxim sprouts (Dicksonia sellowiana)

Sometimes strong winds or the fall of a tree branche over a young "xaxim" plant wil cut the top off. These are the sprouts of a young one.

Don't you just admire the whorls of leaves you get with ferns and their relatives. Dicksonias can now be grown in much of the Uk with care and good placement. No longer just the domain of the South West (Devon / Cornwall). lovely photo.
