This bit of border consists Viburnum x b. 'Dawn' at the back (which has just come into full flower and will remain in flower all winter), beside it is evergreen Pittosporum 'Garnetti', in the front is a Phormium and a Cistus - both evergreen. The Cosmos will go after the first frost sadly.

TT - ages ago! Maintenance of this shrub involves removing the oldest branches to the ground each year, so it sort of rejuvenates itself and doesn't get too big.
Jac, Janette, CF - you will all love this shrub in the winter - the flowers smell SO sweet! One little sprig will literally stink out the house - in a nice way of course! :-D

Think so, Jac. They do lose their leaves for the winter - mine has not lost many yet tho - instead all turning red, which is nice :-) You've changed your pic again - threw me for a minute :-D
