DIGGING OUT MORE GRASS

Hehe, I have a compulsion to dig out more grass each year. Consequently my path stones are now completely off centre and it will be another job for me to do this Summer re-laying them in the centre. When we first moved in here 5 years ago it was a paddock of weeds and grass, no plants whatsoever.

You've done a terrific job in 5 years.

Your garden is beautiful. It looks much better with less grass.

Thanks guys ! :-)
Tina2 - I have 2 Australian Wonga Wonga vines growing over the metal arch on either side. They are excellent for arches as the twine up so strongly they in fact keep the arch from disintegrating after awhile. I used to have 3 arches inter-connecting the garden and it looked fabulous and unfortunately I should have planted the Wonga Wonga vines on them too, but I used Clematis and after 2 years the tops fell apart. I had to demolish them but it only gave me an excuse to dig out yet MORE lawn and plant more things in the garden.

This is a great view of the yard. Where was this picture taken from?

This photo was taken from our back deck (it's about 6 feet high) which overlooks the back garden. I have a Jack n Jill seat on the deck which is perfect for having a coffee or wine and relaxing and enjoying the view. :-))

Yes great idea remove most of the lawn, less waste of water and looks much better with all the plants.
