And we've been having a protracted heat-wave (the whole month of October). Today some of the inland areas were over 100 degrees F. (38 degrees C.)
It is suppose to get back to normal (78 degrees F or 26 degrees C.) by this weekend. I can't wait! It has been too hot to work in my garden.

The beans look like fat worms.
Sounds like they taste somewhat better. :o)

It does taste very good and sweet, just like ice cream. The inside it is white cottony which is what you eat it's almost like white cotton candy.
My tree didn't set any beans this year...so I can't show what it looks like inside. My tree has been in the same big terra cotta pot for 12 years and doesn't set beans every year.

My tree has to stay in a pot because they grow too fast and gets too large.
This tree I posted was only planted 3 years ago as a 4 foot sapling and is now almost 30 feet tall. They grow amazing fast!

Sounds like it should be in our garden, my kids would love this, too!

If you live in an area that doesn't get temperatures below 33 degrees F. (or 1 degree C.) you will be able to grow this tree. It is very easy and fast growing.

Oh dear, thanx, Delonix! Can it be grown indoors, say, in a heated conservatory off the kitchen? I doubt it! I love it, though, and many thanks for showing this!

I'm sure it can...they are relatively easy to grow in a container -- as long as they receive enough light. They grow super easy from seeds. Usually, when you open the seed pod (bean) they are germinating already. If I had seeds I would send you some...my plant doesn't bloom and set beans every year because its in a pot.

I don't think it is illegal to send seeds over seas...however, plants are another issue. I receive many of my exotic seeds from India.
