Bruce's place is Concrete, WA. Birdsview to be exact Catfinch.

I am sorry if I sound rude, Pollyanna, but anything less like the town's name I have yet to see! Why don't they change the name to 'Greeneryville' or something prettier than 'Concrete'? Is the town itself all concrete?

There used to be a Concrete plant there. Isn't that right Gloria ?...It is a beautiful area at the foot of the Cascades. I have been through there quite a few times when David & I took road trips through the mountains.

If it's not there now, they should definitely change the name, don't you think?

LOL..it has been called that for a very long time...I think they have talked about changing the name at one time or another...but doubt they will.

I agree it isn't very appealing for a name! But then there are a lot of strange ones out there! Barbara why don't you write to the City of Concrete, Wa. and ask that question? lol
and yes Catfinch I believe you are right about the concrete plant and it is a gorgeous area leading into the Cascade Mountain Range.

Isn't it on Highway 2...the one that goes through Washington Pass..that pass is so stunning..just love that trip.

It looks so inviting through there, Concrete or not it still looks great.

Thanks Janey for not holding "Concrete" against me! lol! Apparently it was called,,believe it or not, "Cement" in the past! I find that hard to believe!
