This is a beautiful flowering plant!
This plant is Pedilanthus tithymaloides 'variegata' - Devil's backbone. This plant is also commonly sold here at nurseries...although the green-leafed form seems to be more popular. It is an extremely easy plant to grow, needing little water and easily propagated by cuttings.
I've seen this plant here 10 feet tall...although I think it will grow even larger.

Gardengem, it is a neat plant...it can grow sparse...however, I have seen some very dense plants in some of my neighborhood gardens.
