Oak tree wont relinquish its leaves

I remember the oak at our last house. Would hold onto the leaves all winter, then as soon as a warmer day came in spring, whooph, they all dropped at once!

Im trying to get Ray to give it a prune as its getting so tall and wide. The neighbours are also beginning to have a little moan about it shading their garden..... ooops

They do get pretty big! I'm guessing you get lots of squirrels after the acorns.

The squirrels drive me mad. I have to keep a constant eye around the garden to make sure no more oaks are popping up. To top that we have a garden 2 doors away that has an enormour Sycamore......we seem to catch the lot. Do any sycamore seeds Fail to germinate?....I dont think so he he he
