I love these plants...they remind so much of Hawaii. Do you see the pink variety growing in your area?

Thanks Delonix1, yes I've seen the pink variety but I dont have it growing anywhere near my compound.

Thanks for the quick response!
I wish I could grow these plants here...however, I don't think they would do well here -- our water is so hard it would kill the leaves off too quickly. Most other speices of Alpinia do well here though. I may have to experiment with one. I know a nursery that sells the pink, red and white varieties of this plant.
