Thanks for trying, Jacque could be onto something, they are crocus-like and I wouldn't be surprised if they were bulbs. They're very small flowers (about 12 across), and the foliage is like grass. The underside of the petals have a green stripe like some snowdrops have.

They're spring flowering though, this photo was taken at the end of May.

I can't find Spiraxsis in my RHS book, so I don't know.

I'd ask my friend, but she can never remember the names of all the plants she has (not surprising as she has a large garden with plants squeezed in everywhere).

Maybe Sparaxis alba Madmum.........or Summer snowflake?

iv found it in my wildflower book MM its "Greater Stitchwort" :) Type the name in2 Goggle Image search ul see it on there :)

We have friends who ran a nursery business for years. I forwarded your query, and they say:
"ornithogalum (Star of Bethlehem) : one is lanceolanum (with curved tips on the petals) and another is O. montanam with thin pointed petals.
My book says that O. oligophylum "see balansae" which is a slender bulbous perennial with almost prostrate lance shaped, glossy mid-green basal leaves. Shiny white inside petals with green on the underside."

Hope that clears up the mystery - yours seems to be the O. montanum variety.
