Wonderful country road. I miss cattle up here, I grew up in the midst of ranch life. These herefords have a great color.

Thanks everyone for you comments ! I'm very grateful my father had the foresight to buy this place, the farm life is all I know. I wouldn't know how to live anywhere else, and wouldn't want to. We live a very simple, modest life, and it suits us well...lol

kinda looks like home to me too! You are quite right...why would you want anything else? you've everything you need right there...it's a family place.

Well Lori....., I'm sure I could think of a FEW things, now that I've had alittle time to think about it......lol. Like my own greenhouse, conservatory, botanical garden, hired help to keep it watered and looking great, etc, etc....lol

Yes Arlene, I do, and it's great. Rather than using the phone, I can probably get my brother's and parent's attention quicker if I start yelling out my back door. They all prefer to be outside as much as I do....lol.

You might be interested to know that I live in Hereford - where those lovely Hereford cattle in your picture originate from. So strange to think that they are direct decendants from cows that may have grazed just a couple of miles from where I am sat now. There are still Herefords in the county and they're supposed to be making a comeback as a breed, which is good to know. Small world :-) Lovely picture.

I had no idea Sid. It really is a small world ! I'll make sure and pass that information on to my Dad. I'm sure he has no idea where they orginated from either. He'll be shocked that I know...lol.
