A pair of mallards visit my pond most years - this is last year's brood of fourteen who all made it to maturity - wrecking the borders of the pond in the process - but hey! I feel lucky watching them grow and there's always the next year for the plants.

How long do they stay?

About two months, Aleyna. They do a few practice flights before they leave - the first one is really funny with a few crash landings. Some landed outside the garden and I had to open the gate to let them back in to the pond.
