Deida the flower is called Scadoxus multiflorus ssp katharinae (or Helenae)
Common names: Blood flower, Catherine wheel, Poison root, Fireball lily, Bloedblom, Gifwortel and Xmas star

Bonkers, I found those names on an English gardening page, googling it.
I call it "granny's" because it belonged to my grandmother... its my heritage from her garden... long story :o)

Well thats the best name Aleyna if it means something personal to you and you treasure it.

These are looking so wonderful. I love the foliage as well. Thick and showy. What a treasure to have.

Today 2 new flowers bloomed.... they were bright under the morning sun... and yes all i could think about was my grand mother.... as every year... I treasure this little gift, and more than everything the love for nature that both grandmother and grandfather taught me :o)
