Thanks for that information, it has no indication on the label of how tall it can grow. Just position not in direct sunlight, keep compost moderately dry, feed once a month - and for decorative purposes not for consumption!

I was excited to find one of these on sale today! My very large one suffered badly in one of the moves and never really recovered so I'm happy to be starting again! By the way, I noticed in a plant book that a typical height is about three feet.

Glad to hear you've found another.
Three feet doesn't sound too big, but i suppose it must depend how long the plant has been growing for.

Its also called Mother-in -Law's tongue. How often does this flower?

Sorry, I don't know - I've only bought it in the last few months and not seen it flower.

Not knowing what this was called I bought one of these plants many many many years ago for my future mother in law at the time. She took it all in good part. I married her son and we have been married for 42 years.

These can soon grow pretty large we discovered! Everytime we moved house it either was held securely by a volunteer in the back of the moving van or we put down one of the seats in our minivan to make room for it. Lovely plants though!
