it is nice when you are out there on your own! even if it is blowing a gale and cold!
Harvey runs like a greyhound when he gets the chance~ and this keeps him fit!

My sister had a little dog who loved to chase the gulls on the beaches up on Lake Superior... Duffy came up lame...and they realized that they should have been cleaning his little feet after running on the beach...the sand between his toes had worn him raw! Duffy was Scottie-Poodle He had short little legs with the heart of a lion! He would run and chase those birds for miles...Harvey looks to be in great shape!

They have to walk a fair distance home over a lot of grass and usually if they are very sandy/muddy they are cleaned up in the river before they leave the beach area.They don't seem to have a problem which is good!
