This Poinsettia plant is about 15 feet tall...growing in the North Park neighborhood. I realized today that all the Poinsettias are in full bloom already. Pic taken today

Here's my comment posting from a few days ago. I just copied and pasted into this comment.
These plant are very common in Cal. They can grow large to almost 25 feet (8 meters) tall here.
We have the World's leading hybridizing Poinsettia Ranch (Paul Ecke Ranch) in Encinitas, CA which is located in Northern San Diego County. They have almost every color under the rainbow with the strangest looking bracts you've ever seen on this plant. Unfortunately, they almost never let the public in for tours...it's strictly whole sale and genetic research.

I've always liked the colourful leaves of these plants. This is a very pretty picture of the plant Delonix.

Terratoonie,
Thanks...I hope I'll have time to take more pics. of different color Poinsettia.
I've seen some large pink, white ones...they are located in private yards which sometimes become a problem taking the photo.

I guess some home owners are more helpful than others when you ask to take a photo. :o)

Most of the time I don't ask. LOL. However, if there's occupants at home or neighbors watching I'm more hesitant to take the photo. People can be very suspicious, which I understand.

This plant is very commonly grown outside here. It can grow even larger than this plant... and actually some plants are still in bloom.

Looks great. So much for they wont bloom due to street lights or a lamp in the home.

They do best in the dark, though.
