I like that, is it slow growing, and would it be suitable near the sea Bluespruce?

Dottydaisy2 - I'm wondering just how close you are to the sea - do all the trees around lean and grow away from the prevailing wind ? mugos are tough plants so might be worth a try. The cultivar 'Carsten' or 'Carsten's Wintergold as it is sometimes listed is very similar and would be easier to get hold of.

Hi back again....we live roughly 300 yards from the sea, you did not say if it slow growing?

Yes, the 'Carsten' is slow growing.

Such a beautiful vibrant color.....because it is slow growing, could add that spark of color needed in a certain area...how big does it get?

Skippy - hard to say for sure, but I can't imagine it will be any larger than around 3ft x 3ft after 15-20 years.
