Wild Phlox

Are these in flower now - or are they under loads of snow?

This year has been the all time record snowfall for most of eastern Washington. The phlox have about 4 feet of snow on them. They'll show up again in May and June.-Weeds

Are the wild Phlox always this colour ?

TT - I have only seen various shades of white to this this pink/lavender color. Weeds

I've seen them slightly pinker occasionally Weeds. This is a great photo.

Thanks Gilli, maybe the acidity or something else in the soil decides the color like hydrangeas. I suspect the Hundred Acre Woods is mosty acid soil,considering the pine trees growing there.
