Panther,

I feel sorry for you if you have Mynah birds in your yard! LOL They are super noisy. I've never seen one in San Diego, Thank God! I know they are everywhere in Hawaii.

Panther,

I read an article saying there's many Mynah birds in San Diego especially near the San Diego-Mexico boarder which isn't very far from where I live.
Thank god I have none in my neighborhood...the parrots are enough, and I like them because they usually just fly over the house.

Small budgies have the ability to make a lot a noise, so multiply that up to the size of a bigger parrot or other large bird, and you have creatures capable of being very loud indeed ! Mynah Birds can certainly be very vocal, and parrots, especially as a group, can be deafening !

I thank my lucky stars though that they don't come around in large groups where I live now, they used to where I lived before and what a racket they used to make!! The parrots must be a delight to see though!

A Happy New Year to You both Delonix and TT...only less than 2 hours before 2009!!!

there all from the crow family.all of these are very vocal and can talk .one of the best is the humble starling.quite mad that they are getting quite rare in the wild isnt it.over here in the uk snowy owls are one of our rarest birds yet people can get home bread humanised ones easily.there about to have a mass greysquirral cull over here to try and save the native red squirrals.so many thousands of ferrel species on this planet now.i wonder what long term problems this will cause.scary realy

Interesting Np, the snowy owls must be nice to have as pets.
