How long do they last as a cut flower, Arlene? I would love to try to grow them...but I understand that they need a little catering. Amazing flowers though, they look otherworldly!

~we bought these at the local shop where we were staying in Capetown for about 7/8 dollars and they were still fresh when we left to return home.
M and S sometimes sells them and they last up to 2 weeks but they have been flown from SA so with all those air miles I don't buy them often.
I have lots of protea in pots in the greenhouse but they are still small so may take some time to flower.
I think they are fantastic!
