You can see why these fascinate me. The genus is spread across the entire northern hemisphere right around the world! I once had a nearly black variety called Camschatkensis (you Alaskans will know why), and it smelled like it must have come from the planet of the "Little Prince". I've forgotten what this variety shown here in my garden is called, but I will look it up and add its name later. I fear it has left me, though. As so many little plants do.
