I love the large plants. The bigger the better. I have some really large ones in my office and soon I wont be able to sit at my computer :)

I wish you were closer Hywel. He has quite a few of them that he can't take and he would love giving them to someone that he knows would enjoy them.

I wish I had long arms . lol
Are you going to take the others aswell Mike ?

I think just one more Hywel. He has a Madagascar Palm like the one you just got a short while ago that is about 3 feet high. They can do well with just a bit of morning sun so I think I could squeze it into my office.

I wanted to mention that he's moving into a condominium from a private home. He's going to have a lot of room for plants but not all of them. Unfortunately for him he isn't going to have a place that has a strong most of the day sun exposure. If you think I have a lot of plants you should see what he has. I bet he has 5 to 6 times the amount of plants that I have.

I wish I hadn't bought that palm. I thought it was a Euphorbia. I feel disappointed and I don't like it any more.
Now if I did have longer arms I could have reached it over to you and got myself some cacti aswell . lol

What's a condominium ?

You have a different name for them Hywel in your part of this CRAZY world. I say CRAZY because I was just looking through the world news on my homepage.
A condominium is an apartment or a flat that you buy. He's moving into a building that has 20 units. They all have two floors and and his has a private patio area off of his dinning area so he will still be able to have an outdoor growing area.

Hywel... Give the palm a chance. I think that it will grow on you. From what I remember of yours it has some growing and shaping up to do. Eventually the leaves at the top grow very whispy and form a perfectly rounded/dome shape. The stalks get very wide and they are very striking. Am I talking you into it :)

I agree about the crazy world.
Well when I was little I had cousins living about 5 miles away and they used different words than we did for several things.
It seems your friend will see a big difference to what he's been used to.

I'll see how it goes with the palm Mike. It might 'grow on me'. !

Actually, his new condominium is larger than his house was so he's going to have plenty of room inside. I know that you're going to end up liking that palm a lot :)

I'll believe you then :o)

I'm sure that he will Amy. When I'm ready to let go of the yards and gardens I hope I can find a place as nice as what he has.

That is a whopping plant Mike. Wow.
Hywel, I've been wanting to grow a Madagascar Palm. They look nice when they are established.
