Helleborus Niger

When they do well, they are lovely. In German this is called the "Christrose".

Come to think of it, this isn't "Niger". I don't know what it is!

Think this is the one I have....Christmas Rose...or is it Lenten Rose??

It's just known as a Helleborus orientalis, I think - some people do call them Lenten Roses. Whatever it's called, it's beautiful!
