yes Arlene, It is the Lake District, There are some beautiful places in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Spent many lovely, lovely holidays walking in the Lake District in all sorts of weather. A complete change from the flatness of Romney Marsh.

The last time we went up was when there were all those floods, It took us 5 hours to get down to Holmfirth West Yorkshire, from the lake district due to the floods. It rained most of the time while we were camping up there, but you know ... I wouldn't change a thing, and it hasn't put me off going.

We used to go up there many moons ago - wonderful scenery!

We're thinking of going up this summer, camping, I injured my knee so i don't know if i could do any hill climbing anymore. I'll have to find a hill around here just to see if i can manage the hills in the lake district.

We stayed in Millom earlier this year over a long week-end for a wedding and we went to Coniston, it had rained a lot all that week-end and the lake was full to overflowing.

I would love to enlarge that picture and frame it. We went to the Lake District and then down to Norfolk begining of June, I have lots of pictures.
