Dahlia "Mistery day"

This one looks perfect to me.
I love dahlias as well, but they don't do to well in my climate either. The earwigs here really eat them up badly as well.

(to newfienurse) Ah....the earwigs.... I didn't know they were called so in English but it hast to be the same insect! They LOVE eating buds out of dahlias and fritilarias too. I have a lot of trouble with them too! A few years ago they ate till the last bud of my dahlia "Eveline". You are talking about an insect that has kind of a pincet behing, aren't you? They are like a nightmare.....

yes holantina, that is the bug i am talking about. I hate them. They also destroy my marigolds, and can eat the inside of a big sunflower in no time. They go in cycles here, some years they are EVERYWHERE and get in clothes on the line and in houses. they are a nightmare INDEED!
