I mean they grow very tall (searching for more light) and need to be supported. The shoots are not really strong enough, as i have seen in other gardens where dahlias get more sunlight. The neighbours have very big trees in their backyard, just beside the fence. The shadows fall in my garden most of the time :-o. They could also produce for flowers, that won't hurt either :-)

Very pretty colours. I have a packet of Dahlia seeds and have been wondering whether I could pot them, will try doing so today:-)
