Lovely Febe! Our cat prefers to drink water out of puddles (when there are some) rather than her water bowl - they are funny aren't they.

mine like to drink out of my small tank that I keep by my big fish tank as a nurse tank...

If a cat tried to drink out of my birdbath like that it would be in for a shock !!!
Two wood pigeons decided to sit on the same side for a drink and it fell to the ground !!As heavy as it is it couldn't take their weight-luckily they just flew off.

My cat (Jess) is 16 next month!!! Bless, she sleeps, eats and runs outside and back in again ..... when she was younger, she even used to catch baby rabbits - not nice seeing a cat dragging a rabbit along by the neck across a busy road. They can't help their instinct can they?

11 Jan, 2009

OMG They Get Lazier :O is that Possible lol :)

11 Jan, 2009

Yes J, it is possible - and she gets the best spot on the settee and hogs it, lol.

Amy..goodness...LOL...would anyone on here put a cat eating a bird on ?..it is not Wild Kingdom..!....LOL... Which I find hard to watch sometimes...David always liked watching the Elephants and Rhino's best..I could handle them..he liked the Elephants mating (he was a bit envious of the bull elephants I think) and the Rhino's when the male would crash off side ways flat on their sides ...LOL..we would crumble in laughter at that...the capture and eating of other animals was hard for me to watch and we often would turn the channel when that was happening...tis a law of nature but still....

Oh dear - I hope Febe's tongue doesn't get stuck to the ice!

Beautiful cat. I do so enjoy seeing cats on this site. We see the neighbours cats but don't enjoy them using our garden as a general earth-box. When we had our own cats they used to see others off! And always, always, came indoors to their earth-box. We didn't "train" them they just did it. Anyhow who can train a cat?!

Quite right Magnoliatree - cats are clean animals and would much rather use a litter tray/earth box than dig in damp earth outdoors in all weathers and get their toes dirty! I wish more cat owners would provide a litter tray for their cats so they wouldn't have to use peoples gardens.
