Grosebeaks

Evening Grosbeaks Gloria?? They are flighty but beautiful.
We have had a flock of Waxwings around the neighbourhood for the last week. I see them flying around and there are about 60 or 70 of them. They land en masse in a Mountain Ash tree and stay about 5 seconds and they're off again. I wish I could get a photo.

Yes they are the evening grosbeaks. Oh lucky you Gilli to see the waxwings, they are so cool! I saw a little flock of them a few years ago. They flew right over my roof chasing a larger bird, I think it was a hawk but not sure.
